About Me
I'm Chi-Hung Wong — Klaus (克勞斯). I'm a lifelong learner and software engineer based in Hong Kong. My long-term north star is indie hacking in the true sense — sustainable products I own end to end — and I'm honest that I'm still on the path. Open to meaningful work and collaborations.
My background sits at an unusual intersection — education (HKDI), robotics and embedded systems, and hands-on product work in AI. I don't claim to have "made it" as an indie hacker yet; that's the label I'm working toward with real shipped products, not just vibes.
I was a member of the 2023 AWS Ideas Launcher x HKSTP, focusing on utilizing cloud infrastructure for next-gen products. Prior to that, I served as a Lecturer at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), teaching technology, software, and interactive media.
Today I focus on AI tools (AIGC), generative systems, and shipping experiments when I can — alongside roles that pay the bills. I also provide specialized Robotics Engineering Consultation for the overseas market. I'm deeply interested in anime aesthetics applied to AI image generation, robotic motion simulation, and building software that just works.
Experience
Robotics Engineering Consultant (Overseas Market)
International Clients
Providing specialized technical consultation for international clients in robotics motion systems, AI integration, and motion control strategy for industrial and service robots.
Builder & product work (indie path)
Independent / collaborations
Shipping AI tools, AIGC experiments, and side projects. Sustainable indie products are my ultimate goal — I'm building the skills and runway to get there, not claiming the badge yet.
AWS Ideas Launcher x HKSTP
AWS & Hong Kong Science Park
Selected for the prestigious cohort focused on building innovative cloud-first solutions backed by AWS architecture and mentorship.
Lecturer
Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI)
Taught software, interactive design, and technology to undergraduate students. Developed curriculum connecting design thinking with practical engineering skills.
Skills & stack
A broad toolkit from my engineering practice (including what I highlighted on my earlier Framer portfolio).
